The construction industry in Goochland County has strong roots, and continues to grow. With more than 1,600 employees in this industry in the County, and more than 40,000 in the region, there's a clear local pipeline of available talent.
Goochland High School is providing hands on experience to students, as well as internships and apprenticeships. This experience allows students to graduate with experience, certifications, and real world experience on active job sites in Goochland County.
J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College has a campus in Goochland County, and works with Community College Workforce Alliance to provide local businesses employee training. These trainings often come at low or no cost to businesses and and cover topics such as heavy equipment operating, electrical, and HVAC and others.
