Electric Service
Dominion Virginia Power is the principal supplier of electricity for Goochland County.
Rappahannock Electric Cooperative and Central Virginia Electric Cooperative also provide electric service to certain portions of the county.
Gas
Dunn Gas Company provides private delivery of propane and serves all of Goochland County. Contact at 804-457-4500 to learn more.
Amerigas Propane L.P. serves all of Goochland with propane needs and can be reached at 804-783-9500. Additionally, Quarles Petroleum, Inc. serves the County with propane and can be reached at 877-444-3835.
Columbia Gas of Virginia provides natural gas for customers in eastern Goochland. For information about service area and rates, call 800-543-8911.
Solid Waste Disposal
Trash collection services are provided by a number of private contractors.
Goochland County maintains and operates two convenience centers for disposal of household trash and recyclables. The centers are available, free of charge, for use by county residents who have proof of residency. There is a fee to dispose of certain items, including brush, automobile tires, air conditioners, refrigerators, and other appliances that contain Freon.
Water & Sewer
The Goochland County Department of Public Utilities is responsible for the operation and maintenance of public drinking water and wastewater services for the entire county. The county is separated into the Courthouse region and Eastern region (which includes the Tuckahoe Creek Service District).
