Local Goochland Business Earns Coveted Seal of Acceptance from American Podiatric Medical AssociationBoth Performance and Embrace Series Insoles, made by a Richmond woman entrepreneur, earn coveted sealYenta + Posha, LLC, announced that the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) has granted the Seal of Acceptance on both their Performance and Embrace Series Insoles.
Yenta + Posha is founded on the idea that women deserve fashion plus good foot health and comfort. Yenta + Posha offers the thinnest women’s insole on the market that also provides excellent shock absorption and alignment. The APMA Seal of Acceptance substantiates these efforts as both insoles passed an intensive evaluation process that ensured each insole model supported good foot health.
“The Ultra-Thin Performance insole and Thin Memory Technology Embrace insole allow you to prevent and relieve foot pain, all while looking good,” said Brianna Schwartz, founder & CEO of Yenta + Posha. “The thin design means you can wear the shoes you own and love, better.”
Most women's footwear has no removeable insole and no room to add a full-length insole, Schwartz noted. “The patented design and breathable materials allow these insoles to fit into more fashion-forward footwear that would not otherwise fit a supportive insole,” she said. “We believe the APMA Seal of Acceptance is a powerful indicator that we are achieving what we set out to do.”
The APMA Seal of Acceptance was created to empower both podiatric physicians and consumers with correct and medically supported information to make educated decisions regarding foot health. It recognizes products that have been found beneficial to foot health and of significant value when utilized in a consistent, daily foot care program.
To qualify for the seal, companies are required to submit their products along with research documentation, detailed product information, patents, and production and quality control procedures. These are meticulously reviewed, independently, by each member of the Podiatric Seals Committee, a standing committee of APMA. Once the individual reviews have been completed, the Committee convenes and sends its recommendation to APMA Board of Trustees to accept or reject their recommendation.
Founded in 1912, APMA is the nation’s most prestigious professional organization for licensed doctors of podiatric medicine (DPMs) and is the leading resource for foot and ankle health information. In its support of preventative medicine and good foot health, the APMA has a responsibility to assist the public in making informed decisions about foot health. Preserving our Roots: Agri-Businesses in Goochland
The 2022 Ag Census is Here! From the National Agricultural Statistics Service: The Census of Agriculture is a complete count of U.S. farms and ranches and the people who operate them. Even small plots of land - whether rural or urban - growing fruit, vegetables or some food animals count if $1,000 or more of such products were raised and sold, or normally would have been sold, during the Census year. The Census of Agriculture, taken only once every five years, looks at land use and ownership, operator characteristics, production practices, income and expenditures. For America’s farmers and ranchers, the Census of Agriculture is their voice, their future, and their opportunity. This year, producers will just receive a letter with a survey code, rather than a traditional paper survey. The survey can be completed online: www.agcounts.usda.gov For those without internet access, there is a toll free number to call for people to do the survey over the phone: 1-888-424-7828. Regardless of how the survey is completed, all responses need to be in by February 2023. Source: https://www.nass.usda.gov/AgCensus/
